We are looking for dynamic, passionate individuals to be involved in all phases of design projects working in a small studio environment. You will assist in Conceptual Designs through Construction Administration services as a key member of our growing architecture and interior design studio. Applicants must be proactive in learning and developing their skills for a potential for a long-term career.

Interior Designer Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Participate in and support programming and pre-planning design analysis, conceptual design, material selections, and drawing documentation.
  • Participate in project meetings, prepare materials and graphics for presentations, prepare presentation, design and construction documents, and perform construction administration duties.
  • Assist Senior Interior Designer in research and selection of materials and FF&E packages, create concept and interior presentations, and produce material boards.
  • Work with the design team, consultants, and clients to ensure project design success.
  • Communicate with project team internally and with consultants, contractors, owners, and others imperative to the success of large projects.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Two to Five yrs. of work experience in an Interior Design or full service Architectural firm.
  • Education: Graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture program.
  • Proficiency of REVIT, AutoCAD, SketchUP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe CS.
  • Knowledge of architectural principles and practices, interior materials, specifications, and furniture.
  • Portfolio of work that demonstrates excellence in design thinking.
  • Attention to detail and a thirst to understand how buildings go together.
  • Ability to efficiently manage, collaborate, and work in a team environment on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to effective meet deadlines.
  • Possess the desire and ability to learn, advance, and grown in a team-oriented environment.

Experience and Experience preferred but not required

  • Healthcare and hospitality project experience.
  • NCIDQ Certified or the desire to become certified if not currently.
  • Knowledge in sustainable design practices.
